Many have asked me why I use “undersized" paua shells...

...  with some wondering if I collected them illegally from beaches. However, these shells aren't from wild paua; they're actually discarded from paua farms as these are called juvenile paua that didn't reach adulthood. So shells from the farm are actually waste materials.
