Jewellery Care & Cleaning
- Apply cosmetic lotions, perfumes and powders before wearing jewellery.
- Prevent jewellery from exposure to moisture.
- Remove jewellery before showering, swimming, sunbathing & exercising.
- Prevent damage by removing jewellery at bedtime.
- Keep jewellery out of direct sunlight. Resin parts and other organic elements will change colour if exposed to prolonged sunlight.
- Store jewellery in box/pouch or in a dry dark and cool place.
- Clean resin parts with cloth. You can add shine by rubbing your natural body oils on it.
- Some natural elements are strengthened with wax, resin or plating but continue to handle with care.
- Sterling silver chain - Gently rub surface using a soft jewellery cloth to restore shine. Or gentle wash using soft soap and water regularly to keep them clean and help remove tarnish.
- Electroformed nature - Avoid over-rubbing as plating may wear off. Wipe with soft cloth. Keep separately from other jewellery to avoid rubbing against other pieces.
- Paua shell - clean when essential with soft cloth. You may add shine with your own natural oils or mineral oil.
- Beachsand setting - made with part epoxy clay and beach sand. Will naturally darken when in contact with skin and natural oils (which adds to its distinctive character). Clean by wiping with soft cloth.
