When waste becomes wondrous! Broken kina shell that has been electroformed and plated then set on an adjustable sterling silver ring.

I have a handful of these seconds and it has been heavily marked down because I will do that choosing as I cannot post all the photos of every ring.

Sizes of shells will vary from 15mm - 24mm so I will be randomly choosing the ring for you. So in a way it's almost like a mystery box!

This is an old-design adjustable ring. Some of the rings are hammered for that organic look. I know a lot of people prefer a set size (because it is more bespoke), but personally. I prefer adjustable rings due to their practicality. Our fingers can fluctuate in size, especially with changes in the wearer's weight or even just with the seasons. 

The paua shells I use are waste by-products from local paua farms. In New Zealand, there are strict rules about harvesting undersized paua to protect wild populations. By using farmed paua shells, I ensure that my jewellery is crafted sustainably and ethically without taking illegal shells. This practice supports upcycling and helps reduce waste while adhering to the country's conservation laws.
