Nostalgem's Filipino Hands

Because I'm still here in the Philippines, I thought I'd share a little Nostalgem trivia for you today…

I just realised that there are actually quite a few Filipino hands behind Nostalgem.

Mine included (duh, I'm sure you know this by now).

I was born here in Manila. Married my kiwi bloke and I'm now a dual Filipino–New Zealand citizen. Two countries I'm very proud to call home.

I'm based in Kerikeri in the Bay of Islands.

But here are the other Filipinos involved...

There's Joyce — Filipino, Auckland-based, and helps me make some of your jewellery.

Then there's Jasmin — based here in the Philippines (but down further south). She's my VA extraordinaire and helps keep everything ticking behind my website and social media platform.

And while I'm here in Manila, I've been teaching Sunshine & Ada, two creative university students, to help with some of the making too.

So whilst Nostalgem may be inspired by the little natural treasures I find in New Zealand…

I love the fact that there are Filipino hands helping me bring some of those ideas to life.

A little bit of both places I call home, woven into my jewellery brand.
