I transformed these broken sea urchin / kina shells
into one-of-a-kind pendants by handsculpting them with clay to make a drop pendant then plating the back in gold/silver.
These Kina pendants symbolise the innate beauty in brokenness, reminding us that our flaws and weaknesses are a part of who we are, and make us beautifully unique.
I love this idea. Does the sea urchin start to rot, if not what did you do to make it wouldn’t? I have bought a few things similar but it looked either not its color or started to rot. I am not saying yours does at all.
