🦪 A little corner of the beach I’ve named
I call this area in one of my local beaches (here in Kerikeri) the Oyster Retirement Village.
It’s where old oyster shells end up after a long life at sea — gathered here by the tide, worn thin, weathered, and quietly beautiful.
These shells once lived on oyster beds. Their life ended there — and the tide simply carried them on a second journey.
