A few weeks ago I went for an amble along Rangiputa Beach
Hanging on a tree was a sign: “Help save our feet — please take your kina home.”
Don’t mind if I do.
I’ve always had a soft spot for kina / sea urchins — once you get past the spiky exterior (literally), there’s this fragile, glowing beauty underneath. I think they’re a perfect symbol of inner beauty beneath our defences.
Sound like you or someone you love?
I just dropped a few kina shell pieces that shell-ebrate that uncommon beauty.
