Earlier this year, during my travels to the Philippines (where I am originally from), I couldn’t help but notice the hardships faced by many locals, highlighting the pervasive issue of poverty in the country.
So here I am in a coastal town of Quezon. I'm currently training a talented husband and wife team (along with a relative), to help recreate some of my original designs.
There's still a strong New Zealand connection, as I still make some of the pieces, and the gems of my jewellery are still the unique nature finds from this beautiful country.
As a Filipino New Zealand dual citizen, I am simply extending this harmonious blend to my jewellery — where the essence of two cultures converges in my jewellery.
