The other day, my friend Michelle and I...

...rented a car for a 3.5-hour road trip to another surf spot.

She took the wheel — because she’s a fierce Chilean Latina who drives like an absolute pro through the wild, wacky roads of El Salvador. Meanwhile, I was gripping the door handle and quietly saying a prayer 😂

But then we got to the beach… and I paddled out into the bigger,  waves...That’s when she stayed on the shore... and started praying.

It was the perfect reminder that what feels natural to one person can feel totally terrifying to another. One person’s strength might be another’s fear — and that’s okay.
 
It’s what makes each of us unique.
 
Just like the shells I use in my jewellery. No two are the same. Some are smooth and shiny. Others are weathered and wild. But each one is beautiful in its own way.
 
So here’s to embracing what makes you you.
