Ooh Look at My Sunrise in Kerikeri
Ooh. Look at this.

That was the sky outside my window this week. Shifting colours — gold, pink, orange. Changing, like pāua. I couldn't not photograph it.

I grabbed a cuppa, brought out a small tray of shells, and sat there watching the sky change. My little portable bench for the morning. No rush. Just the light, the shells, and the tea going cold.

Kerikeri does this sometimes. You're just going about your day and then the sky decides to put on a full show and you have no choice but to stop and watch.

That's the thing about living somewhere like this. The beauty isn't in grand gestures. It's in the morning light on the harbour. The way the mist sits in the valleys. A shell catching the sunrise and suddenly looking like a painting.
PS. Today's shellfie (weather so 💩) 😆

Shellfully yours,
Rina
